Conducting Quality Improvement

The Quality Family Planning Recommendations (QFP) state that “service sites that offer family planning services should have a system for conducting quality improvement (QI)” and define QI as “the use of a deliberate and continuous effort to achieve measurable improvement.” This eLearning module addresses the importance of using data for quality improvement. Participants will learn about a variety of methods to collect, analyze, and use data to inform quality improvement efforts.

  • Explain how data are used to guide quality improvement for family planning services using the Model for Improvement
  • List three types of measures for monitoring quality
  • Analyze and interpret quality improvement data
