Virtual Title X Leadership Institute: Navigating Uncertainty and Complex Challenges

Registration is open for the virtual Title X Leadership Institute.

The context in which health and family planning services are delivered is continually changing. The challenges and opportunities that come with change call for leadership at all levels. The Title X Leadership Institute will focus on enhancing participant’s abilities to manage change effectively and to thrive in complex environments and periods of uncertainty. Note: this event was originally scheduled for May 12, 2020 and will now be held virtually to accomodate the need for social distancing.

Participants will gain skills to foster innovation in their programs, create shared vision within their network, forge agreement with partners on strategies, and effectively communicate across the service system. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from one another and FPNTC leadership coaches through dynamic skills-building sessions, and inspiring plenary sessions.

Title X grantee participants are encouraged to invite up to three additional staff and/or representatives from subrecipients or service sites in their networks. Virtual breakout sessions will allow participants from the same network to work together on specific challenges specific to their network.

Participants will:

  • Develop skills such as critical thinking, systems thinking, team-building, and stakeholder engagement
  • Apply tools to advance Title X priorities
  • Assess and strengthen their team and organizational leadership abilities for tackling persistent challenges in their settings
