Same-Visit Contraception: Implementation Strategies and Tools from the Field
This session will discuss successful strategies and resources to support same-visit provision of the full range of contraceptive methods (including IUDs and implants) when providers can be reasonably certain a client is not pregnant and when not otherwise medically contraindicated. The Southern Nevada Health District, a Title X grantee, will describe their own experience and successes offering the full range of methods during the same visit a client requests them. The session will also introduce Same-Visit Contraception: An Implementation Guide for Family Planning Providers and highlight tools and strategies to help sites begin or streamline implementation.
